1- using refillable cartridges with one-time chips—which means you'll need to replace the chip each time the cartridge runs out of ink or

- By converting the printer to a chipless solution by installing chipless firmware.

This pack includes:

6-Pack Epson printers using compatible ink cartridges

This set of 6 cartridges contains:

1 x Compatible black 312XL ink cartridge (empty)

1 x Compatible cyan 312XL ink cartridge (empty)

1 x Compatible magenta 312XL ink cartridge (empty)

1 x Compatible yellow 312XL ink cartridge (empty)

1 x Compatible grey 314XL ink cartridge (empty)

1 x Compatible red 314XL ink cartridge (empty)

6 x syringes with head attachments

How to install the cartridges:

- Remove the cartridge out of the printer carefully. Keep this orange cover on during refilling to prevent leaks.

- Open the ink fill hole, the coloured one.
- Open the air vent hole, the small clear plug to allow air circulation while refilling. This helps ink flow smoothly into the cartridge and prevents pressure issues.

- Using the provided syringes and attachments, slowly inject the correct ink into the cartridge. Allow a few seconds for the sponge to absorb the ink, leaving about 0.5 cm of space to prevent overfilling, as shown in the photo.

Ensure the ink fill hole is properly sealed after refilling.

The air plug must remain open for proper ink flow.

- Gently place the cartridge back into the correct slot in the printer and press down until it clicks into place.

Note: If the cartridges are not in use, prevent them from drying out by replacing the air plugs, securing the orange covers, and ideally storing the cartridges in a ziplock bag.

  • If you're using one-time chips, replace the chip when the printer says the cartridge is empty.
  • If you're using chipless firmware, the printer will not check chip status.

Please note:

- "one-time chip," it means that the chip can only be used for a single reset or refill operation. After this operation when the ink starts to run out, the chip becomes inactive or unusable, it is necessary to replace the chip, and then refill the cartridge for futher use.

- Updating your Epson printer firmware version may prompt a cartridge problem message on your printer’s display, preventing you from using compatible cartridges. Customers that want to continue using compatible cartridges may choose to avoid updating their firmware
