Dampers
Dampers are important parts of a printer system. Their main job is to prevent air bubbles from reaching the printhead, ensuring the ink flows smoothly and consistently.
They also contain screen filters that catch small particles, protecting the printhead from clogs.
Faulty Damper
If a damper is damaged or has worn out, it can cause negative pressure. This means the pressure in the damper and connected lines is disrupted, which can make the ink flow backward and mix with other colours.

Capping Station
The capping station protects the printhead when it is not in use and helps prime and clean the ink system before printing.
Faulty Capping Station
If the capping station is not working properly, it can cause inconsistent colours. The cleaning process may also fail to remove pigment buildup at the base of the printhead, which can lead to clogged nozzles.

Wiper Blade
The wiper blade cleans the base of the printhead, removing excess ink, debris, and other contaminants during the cleaning process. This helps keep the printhead clear and maintains print quality.
The blade is made of flexible silicone.
Old or Dirty Wiper Blade
If the wiper is damaged, replace it. If it’s just dirty, clean it with distilled water or a suitable cleaning solution, let it dry, and then reinstall it.
